Sofia Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara is a Colombian model who was born and raised in Barranquilla. Her mother, Margarita Vergara Davila Vergara, is a housewife. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo is her father. He provides cattle for the meat business. There are five brothers and sisters. She went to a private bilingual Spanish/English school. Then she went on to do a course in pre-dental. Sofia did not get discovered at the seaside by professional photographer. This led to her landing various modeling jobs as well as TV appearances. When she turned 23 she began her career as model. Between 1995 and 1998, she hosted a travel program, Fuera de serie (1995) that gave her an opportunity to be seen to and around the United States. Her debut film role came on the crime drama Big Trouble (2002). Gloria Delgado Pritchett was the person who made her a star in Modern Family, an American show on television (2009).
